You can only tell others the freedom of self control. But if they are not so intelligent yet then that is there problem. Self control is for self realization. Why lower ones self and follow ther heard of miserable people who pretend to be happy. For self realization chant the Maha Mantra (great mantra for deliverance from suffering and illusion) for info go to harekrishnatemple.c Read Bhagavad Gita as it is BY Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells how to be truly self controlled.

it may seem to be worth nothing but at the end it worth more then you know because you have control and you can teach yourself and you can do things that you think anyone who doesn't have self control could. Good luck and hope this help a little.

It is worth everything. You can feel a sense of well being, since you are not controlled by your emotions. You are only responsible for your own self control, it is not possible to control others.

hi there character is what we truly are compared with what we seem to be.you can appear to be generous even when your heart is not.Character is different from piety.by piety , I mean a personal relationship with god.by character is different quality of the person .Even so they are certainly inseparable. In the Greek catalog, there were four cardinal virtues-four things that you should never leave home without.
The first is discernment unless you are able to discern what is really going on in a situation, what people are feeling and what is important. you will always make wrong decisions.
The second virtue is courage .It is power to do well when the air is turbulent and the going gets tough. It is having the character to do well when tempting.when things are painful.courage is the power to do well in the face of a threat to your life.to your security to your future.
Temperance is the third virtue. It means being in charge of your own life.to manage to control.to be able to orchestrate all the stuff that is going on inside.of course by control of one's life. The temperate person does not let circumstances substances ,or other people control him/her
The fourth virtue is justice The person of justice determines always to be fair and does not treat one person differently from another. To have commit yourself to these virtues makes you self Control in your life . FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGHT.
BE WELL BE SAFE GOD BLESS
