Life is the fire that burns and the sun that gives light. Life is the wind and the rain and the thunder in the sky. Life is matter and is earth, what is and what is not, and what beyond is in Eternity.... Seneca.

It's all good, enjoy!

In absolute terms, our physicists are now saying that in several billion years what we know of as the universe may well be gone and us with it. There goes any meaning to capital "L" Life.
On the other hand, is your individual life full of meaning. Yes, it should be. Being the best possible person is the essence of giving meaning to life. Utilizing your time well, doing good to others, seeking fulfillment of your aspirations and dreams. That's plenty of reasons for living.

If we are likened to sheep going to the slaughter, I wonder who my shepherd is? The most read Scripture is Psalms 23 at funerals but, this isn't a funeral passage for message to the deceased. It has meaning for each one of us, today. I'm not religous, I'm an artist who draws the picture as the Master Artist lends Hand. A wonder full life with meaning. Ask John, he'll tell you in John Chapter 3:3-8. I'm one of those sheep who wears on sheer luck at times.

The concept of meaning is a human derivative. As far as we should be concerned, it is a relative concept that cannot be applied universally, much like things like good and bad.

Essentially life has meaning if you give it a meaning. It is doubtful there is a universal level of meaning that can be applied to everyone, but there is absolutely a person to person reference frame from which you can give your life meaning.

For the individual it has the meaning one gives it by what one does. Beyond that it has the meaning for the species that we give it by how we behave collectively. For life in general it has the purpose of survival - and that may be its meaning too. So when we threaten the survival of life, as we're doing with climate change, we diminish its meaning for ourselves, as well as all other living things.

to me the meaning of life is evolution. becoming the best person you can be - morally, financially, intelligently, raising your future generation to help them excel and surpass, each generation becoming more advanced than the previous, achieving more for themselves and the greater good of human kind.

I don't have a belief in religion, or even God persay. I believe in being the best person you can be, setting your goals and acheiving them, helping others along the way.

Life to me means happiness, creating a future for yourself and those you love and moving foward challenging obstacles that come in your way.

I don't think so - you have to either perceive or come up with a meaning yourself. Something along the lines of moulding your own destiny...
