They just want to start over and so they will get rid of David Carr who was supposed to be the savior. It did not work out that way so they will start over again with a different quarterback and see what happens. If they do not improve the O Line Schaub will not succeed either.

I don't know what Schaub will do but one thing is that they needed to get rid of Carr. He just doesn't have the instinct a QB should have. Standing back there holding the ball as long as he did is not the best idea. And every Line breaks down eventually. I don't know what mgmt is thinking becz alot of the choices they've made are the wrong ones. Only time will tell on what Schaub will do.

David Carr became the fall guy for all of the Texans problems. I really don't think Matt Schaub will be any better than Carr was, unless they get better recievers and a better offensive line.

First Have you ever thought maybe Carr wanted out of there. Second the fan base wanted him gone after the 2005 season and draft Vince Young. What did the Texans do draft Mario Williams (which i thinik was a good choice he was double team and triple team every game with a hurt foot) After that happend DC had no chance in Houston everybody hated him. Third he has been sack 249 times which most of the sacks was his fault. Look at his passing yards this season 4 games he threw less than 100 yards. He has more INT then TD. Yes his completion percentage is high due to he threw alot of screen passes. There was too many excuses for him. First he needed a new QB coach so they got him a new QB coach second he needed a new offensive cordinator they got him a new offensive cordinator. He needed a new Head Coach got him a new head coach. Needed a another WR got him Erin Moulds. Needed another RB got him Ron Dayne and Wali Lundy which both of them combined rushed almost 2 thousand yards. 10 other QB last year was sacked more times then david Carr. He has never threw 300 yards and 3 tds in one game ever in his NFL career. David Carr is a horrible horrible qb.

Why did the Texans pass up Reggie Bush? So they can waste big money on Ahman Green who is past his prime and isn't durable. But he rushed for a total of 5 touchdowns the past two seasons. THATS A QUALITY RB!
Why did the Texans dump Carr and sign Schaub to a 6 year deal? So they can waste money on a unproven QB who hasn't started a game since 2005. But he threw 27 passes last season so he is a proven starter!
The Texans just want to lose the most games so they can get the #1 draft pick in 08. They should get some linemen to protect their QBs.

No, you would be apprehensive too enjoying in the back of that shaggy dog tale of an offensive line. David Carr has executed fairly properly given what he has to artwork with. The Texans wouldn't have taken Bush or Williams with the draft p.c... they ought to have traded it for as many high quality offensive lineman they might get. Kubiak will start to tutor that group around yet they want some help up front.

Well, I think Schaub is a good QB, but I agree with you...he won't have a good line in front of him. They had better be drafting some big offensive linemen in the draft if they want him to have a good season. I would have kept Carr.

Texans will not have good QB until they get a decent Line. So it doesn't matter if they have Schaub or Carr.

david carr was suposed to shine and flourish in kubiaks offense, and it mostly isnt his fault yes the line sucked but if andre johnson and davis/williams was healthy he probably would still be there. and if johnson was healthy he wouldnt of been sacked so much because could get rid of the ball earlier and they just want a fresh face

They should have drafted Vince Young. Every one said no because they have Carr. Now look. Bad front office.
