What would you compare it to?The only hippies I've known smelled like natural soap,B.O.,Aveda products,alchohol or pot.

It's like the smell of pot I guess.It's hard to describe.I may have even smelled it a while back.I'm the type of person that hangs out with everyone,but I knew alot of hippies of all ages in particular.

Patchouli has a sort of peppery smell to it. It's something you have to smell to know it when you smell it. The best way to do that is to go to a shop where they happen to sell essential oils. Smell of the tester, and you'll never forget the scent.

Patchouli is an herbal woodsy scent...I wouldn't say it smells anything like b.o., alcohol, or pot. But, I am not sure about the other two items..it may smell like natural soap, depending on the scent, and I am not familiar with Aveda products. Patchouli is typically a fairly bold scent but in my opinion it is a pleasant scent...a lot of hippies use it to mask the smell of pot in their homes. I know when I smell it I get a warm cozy feeling. You should try it, I think you will like it.

Chuckle...hippies never smelled so good. Hippy wannabees invent this "musty basement stench juice oil" and think they are all cool, burn candles and pretend to be with it earth mamas. No offense to anyone.

I think it smells like bad incense. It gives me asthma attacks cause it smells like azz. L
