what are you supposed to do when your best friend since preschool decides to move to the other side of the country? It seems like we weren't meant to be friends. My mom hates her mom, and vice versa. They don't want us to hang out. Then when we went to middle school, i moved a few minutes away. But we could still hang out every week, i just went to a different school. We were planning to go to high school together, then even college .We had everything planned out. And now she moves because her mom cant find a job, so she has to mooch off her sister, who HAPPENS to live across the country. :[

You have a very strong bond with this girl. It's going to hurt for a while. You can email and stuff but you'll miss her. You may still go to college together, especially if you're both interested in the same things. In time you won't feel so bad.
Maybe you could write your memories down so you'll never forget them. Other people will come and go in your life, but you'll have this girl in your heart for a long time.

I know it seems really bad now, but you can still keep intouch. I have a best of almost 20 years, we only talk and/or see each other maybe 2 to 3 times a year. But when we get together it's like we never been apart! In life you will have many kinds of friendships, some will last longer than others. Still , enjoy the time you have and set a special time every week to catch up on everthing, wether it be over the phone, internet or mail.

Get ready b/c life if full of people coming in and out of your life. What you can do is talk online and on the phone occasionally and maybe over the summer you could spend a couple of weeks to gather. Its unfortunate, but that's a part of growing up. Who knows you might still have collage.

Keep in touch. There are phone calls, e-mails, snail mail, im's, etc. My son's best friend was far away from him for 7 years, they kept in touch and are now back in the same area and still best friends.
