Just about everywhere! In spite of persistent myths, there are no health laws requiring shoes in stores and restaurants, nor do insurance companies require or even recommend footwear for customers. There are no laws against driving barefoot. You won't pick up diseases barefoot; our skin is made to keep pathogens out, unless you have an injury you're fine even in a restroom. We're at far greater risk picking up something through our hands! Athlete's foot can't get a hold of bare skin, it grows well in the dark, damp and moist environment of a closed shoe if you've only been barefoot briefly and then put on shoes again; if you keep your feet bare, the well-ventilated, light and dry skin doesn't allow it to get a hold. Hookworm can enter through the skin but has been pretty much eradicated from the Southern US since modern plumbing; it never was a problem in colder climates. Glass isn't a problem for tough callouses as long as you don't drag your feet; I never divert my step even when I see glass on the ground and I get a tiny splinter perhaps once a year, never had a cut. Barefooting is fun, comfortable and healthy!

There's really not much wrong with going barefoot in most public places. You don't change just because you take off your shoes and socks.
I myself walked around campus barefoot today--and guess what: nobody takes an issue with that as long as you're as friendly or friendlier WITHOUTshoes than other people are WITH shoes.
I was also barefoot on the bus and walked across the parking lot. Sure, your feet get dirty. But so do your hands when touching stuff throughout the day. Wash up--and you're fine!
Also keep your feet in a decent shape--that helps other people accepting your choice of being barefoot at times, no matter where you are!

The only place that is good to go barefoot is the beach. Especially if you have a nice, romantice boyfriend, or husband to walk with you along the beach in the moonlight. So romantic!

I'm going to have to agree with PeterF,

ANYWHERE ANYTIME!!!

I go barefoot almost all the time, almost everywhere. There are a few places I don't go barefoot, and usually for those, I'll just wear some flip flops.

Keep 'em bare!!!!

EVERYWHERE - ANYWHERE - ANYTIME.
I love to feel the different textures aroud town where I walk. The sidewalks are nice and dimpley, the dirt trails are warm and soft, the grass is cool and cushoney, the floor in front of the frozen food freezers is cold and refreshing, the polished concrete floor at the new Menard's store is like walking on a huge sheet of smooth glass, puddles are great in the rain, and mud encountered on hikes are fun. The greatest thing about mud in bare feet is that my feet clean up great, dry off in minutes, and my shoddie friends shoes are usually never the same.

your house is always a safe place to be barefoot...unless you don't tidy up too often and have junk all over the place
