He knows that there are two reasons. The first is O I L, which he, his family, and friends are knee deep into. The other is that Saddam Hussein threatened the life of George H.W. Bush. So Dubya wanted revenge. He doesn't give a rats behind what we think.

George Bush is interest in the oil of Iraq and not the WMDs. Thus, he looks an idiot but ended up benefitting from the war.

His justifications for this war seem to change on a yearly basis. At first, it was because there were stockpiles of WMDs in Iraq. Then, oops, there weren't any, and we were just trying to oust Saddam. Then, when we did, we were suddenly fighting terrorists. It's sickening. He can't even keep his story straight.

Oh, he will come up with any excuse to stay in Iraq. As to his stupidity...well, that's debatable. I don't think he's stupid. I think he just doesn't care about us. I know he can't talk when he speaks, but that doesn't make him stupid. It means he just can't speak. When he's put on the spot, the more he stutters. I don't doubt he's highly insecure, despite his position in life.
