1) People are stupid and need to check their spelling,
2) Who really would care if you spelled something wrong.. I mean this is JUST Yahoo Answers; it's not your English class.

That's true Lisa it isn't an English class, however when I read some of these questions ,I have to wonder if people are stupid with some of the spellings for simple words. Yes ,it is just Yahoo Answers, but it makes it easier to read the questions.

One should always endeavor for perfection or at least try your best. The other way spawns losers in life. In addition, people tend to dismiss the knowledge level of the asker/answerer if they were too lazy to check their spelling. BTW, it doesn't work very well anyway. I find it better AND quicker to copy and paste to word for the spell check then copy and paste back.

Yahoo Answers is just trying to help the person by correcting their spelling so that people won't think theyr'e stupid. We should at least be thankful that they care about us. Right:)?

why would you ask a question and answer it yourself? And besides if you cant spell a word and you try and then spell check it, you'll know how to spell it from then on.

I agree, people need to lay off of the comments saying in BOLD that you spelled maybe 3 words incorrectly, people shouldn't give a rats *** what we spell wrong...as long as we can understand what they are asking, then that's all that matters.

I would say number 2, but more or less some people are not good spellers and some just can't type! I would rather not post something that is incorrect.

*I* care... I'm a grammarian.
And some people can have SUCH bad spelling that their message is not coherent.
And some misspellings can have people think you mean something else to what you're trying to say.

It's there for people that don't know how to spell, which is most people. But don't worry, noone uses it anyway.
