If an ad used the word "attractive" to describe something - how would you perceive that object? Is this word strong enough? Does it convey a positive reaction in your mind?

Yes, to me it is strong enough, depending on the product being advertised.

'Attractive' could be used to convey something mainly about the external looks of a product. It is used very commonly. People may not give it much importance without using superlatives. Some other word, such as irresistible, magnificent, fascinating, winsome, etc., could be considered, depending upon the product, provided the quality of the product conforms to the term used.

It doesn't seem very strong, actually. It seem like it looked so-so. It's positive, but could be better. A word like "breathtaking" or "beautiful" would probably be better.
