If it's 200 pounds of muscle, then good for him. He'll make a good linebacker or something.
However, if it's not, then he should work on getting rid of the excess fat. At his age, being huge isn't too terribly important, but being quick and in shape is.
Tell him to run a lot. Not just sprints, but make sure he has endurance for several miles a day. If he runs that much, then he'll lose all of the extra stuff holding him back, he'll be in shape, and he won't have to worry about dying in practices or in the 4th quarter of games.

if your brother can bench 100 pounds than he really needs to hit the weights a lot. I'm 13 also and i play high school football. i measure 5'6" and i bench 150 pounds. make him do 3 sets of ten every other day benching 95 and every week add 5 pounds by June he should lift about 165 pounds since his a big guy.

Weight training, of course, as well as a lot of aerobic training. Depending on the position he wants to play there's a lot of running in football. Also, and I know this sounds weird, but pro-football players have to take ballet so a little dance instruction wouldn't hurt, just to make sure he gets the eye-foot coordination down.

well if he is 200 then he should at least be able to bench 170
because i am 5-10, 140lbs and benching 170. he should do push ups and sit ups every other night before he goes to bed and eat a protein packed dinner at night. he should bench press and do leg presses too if he can get access to the equipment. It also depends on the position he wants to play. I think he will play o line or d line.

It sounds to me like he'd be a lock for either side of the line. The best thing he could do for those positions is work on his short burst (get on the other guy before he's ready). Get into a three point stance and work on getting off the line quickly.

Making him run several miles will only make him not want to play, but do go out and run, i suggest that he throw a medicine ball against the wall like passing a basketball and Plyometrics, and leap as far as he can either using one foot or two feet and/or jumping on and off a steady bench. Good Luck

Tell him to hit the gym, if he can only bench 100 pounds and he's 200 himself, good chance he won't make the team. I know a 12 year old kid who's 120 pounds and can bench 165

Sounds like a good Lineman tell him to practice chopping his feet to be able to move O-Lineman and the stop and drop ( Chopping feet and falling to ground) he sounds like he could be a terrifing defensive tackle

incline, bench, power clean, squats, and a lot of core work (lower back and abs). if he's trying to get stronger, high weight low reps. if he's working for endurance, high reps low weight.
