From what i've learned nice guys finish last so should chuck the niceness in favour of boosting my ego?

Be yourself. If you try to be someone else, any relationship you get into won't work out when they figure out you aren't who they thought you were.
Besides, even if you really want a relationship you really don't want someone who doesn't like you for who you are, not for the long term anyway.

Becoming a bad boy will serve only to temporarily placate your ego. But becoming a good guy -and making a difference in someones life- will make you feel good about yourself for forever.

bad boys tend to get neurotic women. if you are into drama and maybe someone a little nutty then be bad.
i prefer nice guys (not pushovers) because they are thoughtful, considerate, easy going and easy to be with. bad boys are too much drama for me.
