May be "Sole, sole, sole" (1959) by Domenico Modugno; it's possible it was also singed by other artists.
The song is in dialect (from Naples; Modugno sang also in Sicilian and Apulian) not regular Italian.

"A' notte si sperde inda a' matina
o vico chianu chianu se schiara
e vene o' sole

sole, sole, sole,
riri pe' caso
trase, trase,
ogni cosa cchiu' pulita se fa
e vanno po' cielo...

...scetateve pitturi
sciugliti sti' culuri
co' verde e l'acqua e' mare...

....ti sto luntano e o' vedo
ma quannu l'ucchi n'chiuru
te veco co' pensieru
paese miu..."

I feel having found what you're looking for.
Song's title is "Sole,sole" edited in 1964-
The singer LAURA VILLA presented this song at the famous Italian Festival of Sanremo and it was recorded also by Sarah Vaughan and Los Hermanos Rigual.
I couldn't find the lyrics on Internet but I've found the record offered for sale on Italian E-Bay
