The chart is broken into several sections.
The bottom with the "E" prefix is the enlisted rank pay scale.
The "O" prefix is the Officer payscale.
The "W" prefix if the Warrart Officer payscale.
The "O" with the 1/2/3 superscript is the payscale for Officers that were formerly enlisted.
As you go across left to right, the number of years in service indicates where the individual falls within his/her rank.
The amounts shown are per month, so it is a little deceiving. To figure out the bi-weekly payroll, multiply the amount shown by 12 (to convert to year) then divide by 26 (to convert back down to bi-weekly). It's just like the govenrment to make something so simple complicated.
