The movie is just jews' ( Warner Brothers) propaganda to defame Modern persians (iranians).it's a tactic that appears to be working well for them.

the problem with the Gideon thing is that the Greeks were pagans just like the Persians some might even argue that the Persians were of better character than the Greeks. The Spartans were a group of homosexuals sunbathed and unmerciful. Proud murders of their own slaves. They held life cheap and swaps wives. In short they were scum. What I have read of the Persians (mostly Greeks and the Bible) makes them look like the less depraved of the two groups. The Persians were a group of glutenous slaves with an all powerful king, not much to admire when compared to that which we see by the Christian Era. As for "Cyrus the Humanist"-I suspect you are a humanist and superimposing that philosophical view on to the dead king.

This is a movie "300"- But God told "Gideon" of Israel not to fear he would need to have just 300 men go out and conquor the Midianites! (King Cyrus and his 1000's of mighty men and troops are being used in the movie) God told Gideon to test and do so by choosing his men by the way they drank water when extremly thirsty! Disregarding the ones who were lapping water like a dog with it's head down into the water, instead selecting only those using their hand to cup and drink while standing upright- and thereby able to see all about them while yet drinking to sustain themselves, ever alert! These were the chosen 300 who conquered the 1000's of Medianites. That's the real story, and that's why people root for the great barbarian king to fall, because he is not a believer in the one God. The Father in heaven, this was a pagan king.

In the movie 300 the Persians are actually portrayed as reasonable and generous people.
The Spartans are shown to be blood thirsty, and cruel. The Spartans reject a freak but the Persians take in several freaks. The Persians call for peace and offer to let the Greeks govern themselves, the Greeks bring on the conflict. I think you should see the movie, before you get mad.

Don't bother yourself of such things. Cyrus was so civilised and those Iranian had human rights while Americans and Europeans were thoroughly primitives. That's why thery are angry. But they can do nothing cuz the evidences are there in the history and noone can deny it.
