How much uglier can "kiasu" singaporeans can get?

In today's Sunday New Paper, there was a hugh photograph of a poor elderly old lady being pushed to the floor by "Kiasu" Singaporeans at Toa Payoh (Article:Free For All)".Another old lady ended up with bruises.The article showed the UGLY ,selfish sides of singaporeans.The pics clearly showed how nasty and ugly ppl can be just to get the freebies.Why and do we Singaporeans always need to react this way??
