That's a hard question to answer. I'd have to know if your mom is just being over protective or if your friend is someone she should be protecting you from. My 17 yr old daughter has a friend I can't stand. It is really hard for a mom to tell her kids they can't see their friends. They usually do it anyway. I just made sure I raise my daughter with morals and respect along with responisbility and hope she see's what I see from the girl. It's worked pretty good. She finally got tired of her crap and doesn't really see her anymore. However, if she is a great person and you don't understand why your mom is doing this, sit down with her and ask. Maybe it is something she is wrong about and can be cleared up. Maybe it's just a personality conflict. Hard telling. It's also going to depend on how old you are also. If you are younger than say 12, you may be out of luck on this one. Try and see your mom's point of view on this one. She may see something that you don't.

My best friends mom doesn't like me so everytime I go over to her house I thank her for having me over, tell her that her house looks nice, and every once in a while bring her a small gift. Lately she's been lightening up and when i see her she doesn't shoot a mean look at me anymore, she smiles. Maybe your friend can do some of these gestures. And when you talk to your mom maybe you could bring up alot of positive things about your best friend. Just a thought, hope it helps some

Well, you shouldn't stop being friends with her just because of that. But you should also talk to your mom about WHY she doesn't like your friend. Maybe she has a good reason for her judgement. If she does, you might want to reconsider the friendship.

First off, I am so sorry your mom hast to be so mean.
does your friend just have quirks that your mom doesn't like or is she someone she doesn't want you hanging around with?
It is one thing that she twitches one eye and another if she dresses trashy and swears alot.

think about the reason, why?mothers just want to protect their children to the bad friend....dont be misled bad association can spoil use full habits.
