why do they make you start the day of your period or the Sunday after your period? why can't you just start taking them any day? I've heard it's to make sure you're not pregnant. but if you know you're not can you start any day?

I didn't say I was doing it, and I didn't ask if I should follow the directions or not, I just always wanted to know why they have them written that way.
apparently you can also start 5 days after you period also. and I just found this on a women's health page
"Fourth approach: Start your pill today if there is absolutely no chance that you could be pregnant. Use a backup method of contraception until your first period."
so apparently you can start it whenever... whihc still hasn't answered my question, why isn't that listed as an option in the packaging?

oh, and also to the first answerer, fish food instructions often recommend more than is needed so you'll need more food faster.
