"Facts" are something that is absolutely verifiable: a certain number of people were born into slavery in Georgia, a ship named "Whatever" carried slaves from the west coast of Africa to Boston. "Perspectives" are interpretations of the facts: the Atlantic Slave Trade contributed to the collapse of the central African economy (you would have to marshall your facts to prove that, but someone else could marshall a set of facts to disprove it).

Well perspective is something you want to keep in mind when reading anything. Just because something is in print that does not make it fact.
Fact is saying The Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia in 1776 ...
Perspective would be reading someones opinion of this, like this was the starting point of the US. Well if you considered this the starting then where does that leave the Articles of Confederation and the Revolutionary War, weren't they stepping stones?
Basically when keeping perspective in mind, think about the source. Is the source telling the whole story, is the story biased, is the source primary or secondary. Primary is a witness and secondary would be someone writing from research. So in the case of a secondary source you have to ask the same questions about their sources.

A fact is a tangible and concrete state of reality or piece of information, which could be observed and examined as such to determine whether such a fact relates to a true or false perception or assumption. We have to rely more on science and its findings to learn about the facts surrounding any circumstances or events.
A perspective is rather a state of the mind, how one perceives an object or a piece of information in its true relationship or degree of importance.

facts = real events - ie. population densities, names, dates, places that can be PROVEN
perspectives = someone's individual viewpoint, not necessarily based on facts, often on emotion or training - not necessarily thinking for oneself
