im planning on making a highlite video for an nfl player and need step by step help on how to make one of these videos

Use an editing suite of some sort. Im assuming you have done editing before. Then go to Youtube and follow their instructions on how to upload.
Even better..if you're making a highlight video to show the world the skills of this player...why not, get PAID for it. Go to metacafe.com or revver.com
PS..make sure you have some bumping music in the background. Music sets the tone for the rest of the video.

Its relatively simple...you videotape what you wish through a digicam,handycam or even through a mobile..login to you tube and upload your video through the USB port attached....Then the rest is easy..a converter will convert the video into flash format...and well here is your video on the net

make a video on your computer using whatever software you may have. i have windows movie maker. i can just record the movie on the camera i am using, transfer them to my computer, then make the movie however i feel. it is easy enough to learn.
then you upload it to YouTube.
