No, the U.S. did not fake the moon landings. How can people think that the thousands of NASA engineers and astronauts could have been a part of a fake for years. And we were in a race against our then enemy, Russia, and I'm sure if we had faked the moon landings they would have shown the world that we were fakes.

As for the program that alleged that we fake the moon landings, their evidence is contradicted by the facts. These facts are exposed at the following web site, which you should read before making a judgment: http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html

No, the US did not fake the Moon landings because there is no such place as the US. All the news and stories said to be coming from the USA, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and all the other places is faked up in a studio on an island off the coast of Spain, where the Spanish have been fooling the world that they sent an Italian to a place they later called America five hundred years ago.

In reality, his ships fell off the edge of the world and the poor old Spanish have been cringing in embarrassment ever since. So to save face they set up the "Projecto Indio" which has been operating all these centuries. It started with fake maps and has become more complicated with time.

People who think they came from North or South America are brainwashed with false memories implanted and the same goes for people who thought they had visited. Haven't you seen "Total Recall" starring that big bloke from Austria? This was a coded hint that the USA, the rest of North America and South America does not really exist.

For freakin' crying out loud, people, I answered this same question yesterday. Don't you know how to use the search feature??

Yes, we landed on the moon, six times. If you want to read about a thousand posts discrediting the various moronic purported reasons why we didn't go there from the previous hundred times some boob asked this question, use the "Search For Questions" function.

Reading the responses to the questions is as depressing as the question. People here are claiming the flag waved because of wind. It waved because the flag had just been planted and still had momentum. With no atmosphere, there is no air to absorb movement, so the only thing stopping the motion is the stiffness of the fibres of the flag, itself.

Some genius mentioned that the Apollo 11 vehicle that landed was a shuttle. For christ's sake, it was a Lunar Excursion Module. If you guys aren't acquainted with these basic facts, then why are you claiming to "know" that the landings were faked?

Some other brainiac here mentioned that the Earth is surrounded by a zone of deadly radiation that would kill anybody going to the Moon. He was referring to the Van Allen radiation belt. A toxic exposure would take hours or days. The astronauts spent a total of about an hour inside of the magnetic "trap zone". They got a dose of radiation equivalent to a chest x-ray.

You know, the "evidence" supporting the hoax concept is so flimsy, and so ill-informed that a person really has to go to extra effort to believe in it for more then a few seconds. Are you all really so cynical that you'd go to extra effort to disbelieve one of the greatest achievments in human history? Why do want to? Are your inner worlds really that sad and dark?

At this point, I kind of think it might be useful to suggest to people to stay in school, and maybe pay more attention in science class, and maybe lay off the brain cell killing drugs. Maybe, at least, try an intoxicant less destructive then sniffing glue.

Now, ALL OF YOU who still think the Moon landings were faked, get over to badastronomy.com (link below) and get an education.

A special award goes out to KoolGirl181 for her observation:

...in the news they siad that the USA faked it with cameras and special gravity gas.

Oh, my. Dear, please, PLEASE, stay in school. Yes, the food service industry needs you, but you can aspire to better things. I apologize if your post was a well placed joke.

The USSR and China were both our enemies at the time. If we had faked the moon landings the would have known about it and told the world.

It is getting better.

This question was what made me leave this catagory a while back. It would come up two or three time a day and I just got tired of the same thing over and over, but refused to let ignorance get the upper hand.

At least now everyone who answered agrees that the landings were real.

The whole moon is a NASA hoax, the Earth is flat, and Elvis is alive and working in a donut shop in Cleveland.

If you don't believe any of that, then check out this website for proofs that we did land men on the moon ==>http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html

I believe they did. Have you ever watched the moon landing? When Neil Armstrong put the flag in the ground, it was waving. Now I'm no scientist, but there is no wind in space. Wind is created by the moon and our atmosphere. Also, I have heard many stories pf people seeing Neil before the shuttle actually landed.

There is no moon. What appears as a moon to everyone is really a projection the US government is pointing upward. Damn that US government.

No. And about the whole no wind in space thing, well, when they put the flag in, the pole was shaking. Once it starts shaking and the flag is waving, theres not much to stop the flag. There doesn't have to be wind. What's stopping the flag from waving when it starts? Not much, no gravity, no atmosphere......Once it starts, it's not stoppin.

What do you consider to be evidence that they might have?

Flag waving... Flags typically wave (even without atmosphere) when they have a metal wire holding their length up and when they are being twisted into the ground. Notice that after the flag was planted and left on its own, it stopped waving.
