Yes, just now. I have experienced an earthquake in California. I was not hurt or lost anything, it scared me enough to move out of California. I can only imagine what the people in Japan experienced in an earthquake of much greater proportions. Hope the best for them and that they are all right.

An earthquake IN Japan isn't going to cause a tsunami. It's when the earthquake occurs underwater that a tsunami becomes possible, and then only in special types of earthquakes.
