Why when you hear certain songs in gets inside you and you fell light and the song makes you happy or sad ????

I think that the ability to make people FEEL is what makes the difference between a good musician and a great musician. my current obsession of "Heroin" by the Velvet Underground. Whenever I hear it, it makes me this strange mixture of energized, depressed, and giddy. I'm not sure why.

The thing I love about music is that it can unite people like nothing else can. Where else can you find as many people hat agree on one thing than at a concert with 50,000 people?

I'm don't know why music can make people feel like this, but I love that it does. I never feel more alive than when I'm listening to Janis Joplin with the radio turned up so loud I can't hear myself sing, or more motivated than when I'm listening to Dylan, or more tranquil than when I'm listening to Jefferson Airplane, or more energized than when I'm listening to Jethro Tull.

That's why I love music.

Sometimes we just get so into them they they feel real, as if a situation in a song were realyl happening to us.

Kind of like how a movie or show can make a person cry, we just get so into it that it feels real.

Or, a song can almost perfectly describe a very emotional thing that we're going through at the time, so it makes us think deeply about it.

that is what songs, poetry, books, movies etc....are suppose to do, take you away. I love getting lost in a song, and sometime relate it to a situation in my own life if it fits. Sometimes I just like to escape into a book and forget about all the stress around and let you feel happy and light!

I always seem to associate songs with people or events. You hear the song and it brings back the memory. Sometimes it's a sweet one and other times.....
