Quirky little critters.
They are impressionable. It is a bonding practice between a fire-lizard and its human partner. It is a close relationship between human and animal. Also, fire-lizards can convey images and emotions to their human friends. Great pets!
They are about two feet from head to tail with some variations due to sex and color (about the size of a medium sized dog on earth).
The females are gold and green. The males are bronze, brown and blue. Both sexes have four limbs and two wings.
Fire-lizards have two stomachs, one for food, the other for processing flame from a rock called firestone. (sort of like a chicken's gullet that is filled with small rocks and pebbles)
DNA from the fire-lizard is used to create larger dragons. Fire-lizards are also indigenous to the planet Pern.
Anne McCaffrey will be 81 this April 1 and she is no fool!

1.I love fire-lizards, I think they're smart and loyal; and wish I had one.
2. They do share many traits with their dragon descendants but are easier to clean up after. Can you imagine how much dragon poop you're have to pooper scoop if you had a full-sized dragon?
3. I am a huge fan of Anne McCaffrey's books and especially the stories about Weyr life.

3: well this is about dragons, that is what you're talking about right??, when king arthur's father was born two golden dragons appeared in the sky.dragons wrote poetry, this is by the dragon prince:

I believe in dragons cause its my "faith" i'm a pagan Duh!
dragons to us is about power, protection so forth, us pagan and wiccan.
