You don't have an official period, but some bleeding and spotting can occur. It is actually more common than most people think. It can occur for many reasons. Mine personally was due to hormone levels that were not quite right. The blood flow is greatly increased in the area, causing spotting after intercourse and exams. There is also the risk of miscarriage AND threatened miscarriage. I personally had a hormonal imbalance with my first child, which left me with 3-4 days of bleeding once a month, at the same time that I would have had my period. That lasted 4 months. I was over 16 weeks along when I went in for my annual. My 2nd I bled for the first 3 months, same thing. My 3rd, I miscarried one (it had been twins) bled off and on for the first few months.
I wish you luck. While it is possible, you still should go in to the doc and get checked out.

let me just say that no you can not because then you would miscarry but you can have spotting or light bleeding that just so happens for some reason to occur around the time you would have expected to get a period i know from experience because with my first pregnancy i had this for the first 2 months and i had no clue i was pregnant so i got a huge surprise when i did miss my period went to see a doctor and was told that i was 3 months pregnant i will say that you should let your doctor know whats going on just in case it happens to be something more serious but if you are not getting cramping you should be fine hope this helps and just relax and to all you people who do not believe and write nasty comments treating women as if they are stupid because they think they can get their period while pregnant you are dead wrong it may not be called a period but it seems like one so just back off!! this is supposed to be a safe place to get help and answers from people who have been there done that so dont be so quick with comments when you have no i dea what you are talking about just to get a lousy 2 points wich mean nothing

well the thing is if you are pregnant and you have any bleeding then you need to contact your Dr. RIGHT NOW. Now some women bleed after they have already become pregnant and this could happen for the first few months making you unaware of you new addition. But if you stopped with your period and you already know that you are pregnant then no you should not be bleeding bleeding is a sign that your body is flushing out the lineing of your uterus as it does everymonth for the reason of your egg not being fertilized and now it needs to create a new lineing for your next ovulated egg. and if you are bleeding it could be a sign of a misscarage or of problems that are starting to occure. My Obgyn said to call that minute if any bleeding or cramping occured. an right now I am 13 weeks.
I hope the best for you good luck.

No, when your pregnant you cant get a period becuase your body doesnt ovulate.
ADDING ON:
No people you do not get a period. A period is the shedding of the lining of the uterus becuase an egg was not used. Now, if you shed the lining of your uterus during pregnancy youd be having a miscarriage. You CAN bleed or spot, but you DONT have a period.

Your body doesn't need to because you already have a baby growing. I have heard stories of girls getting their periods 3 and even 6 months into their pregnancy though! This was typically with teenage pregnancies, so I'm not sure if that's with adults too. Hope I helped :).

I haven't. But, I've heard that some women can continue to get a period. Best bet is to ask your doctor, so you don't mistake a pregnancy "period" for a miscarriage.

yes it's common my cousin was still getting her period for after her first missed one but you always need to be sure so go to your doctor just to be sure because it could always be something else take no chances when your pregnant because no two pregnancies are alike
