You can start by finding someone to assist you around the house. If he thinks you're "still married," he will find every opportunity to see you, including helping you around the house and being "your friend."

Be honest with him. Tell him that it's great that you've been able to end your marriage amicably. Tell him that you need some space so you can adjust to single life, and you hope he understands. Tell him you appreciate how helpful he's been, and that you're managing your household chores. Finally, let him know that the constant contact isn't good for either one of you. You both need to find situations that will make both of you happy.

You have to be independent without him. Unless you do, he will always find a way to be around you and feel needed. See if the social service agency in your area or a non profit group can help you find someone to assist you around the house.

If you don't want him to be your bedmate, then you should probably discourage him from coming to visit as often as he does. Have someone else help you out around the house because right now I think you might be unintentionally leading him on.

Tell him that you appreciate his help but that you think you're giving the wrong impression; you divorced him becasue you didn't want a romantic relationship of any kind with him, and that at you're not interested in acting like you're still married when you aren't.

It sounds like a touch situation; best of luck

you have to cut him loose completely cause he probably thinks since I'm doing something for you you can do something for me your just going to have to hire some help around the house or ask your family and Friends for a little extra help

Well my advice to you is.......... to kindly sit down and talk. If he still thinks your married to him tell that fool to go to counseling. I'm just kidding! So just talk and tell him you know we have had some great times, but I think it's time to take a break.

Good Luck Girl!!
