where could i rent foreign movies? the local hollywood video and blockbuster only have a very limited selection, and not the one i'm looking for. if it makes a difference, it's a french movie called "A La Folie, Pas du Tout" (that's minus the accents of course). I'd be looking for the dvd version so that i could watch it in french, but have english subtitles for my friends.

this is just a guess..... college libraries sometimes have more than just purely educational films and could possibly have a good collection of foreign films. Or if not in the library possibly there is an on campus, student run video rental. (The university i go to has both, with a pretty wide variety). I suggest that you look in larger universities first. Most likely they should have an online database so you could search from home. I'm not exactly sure how non-students are able to check-out things from the library, but i know it is possible. If not you could possibly check your local library as well. I live in the middle of nowhere but the little nearby library is always up to date with all kinds of videoes including foreign.

That movie is available at Netflix.com (you have to join, but there is a 2 week free trial. Search for "folie pas du tout" and you will see it come up: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.
