erm it doesn't change what ever website i'm on its the same pic of a white square with the right corner slightly folded down, then in the square there is what lookss like a file with a blue stripe across the top, then with a tiny red dot inside and another tiny blue as well.
just worreid that it may be spyware thats attatched itself??
The old IE only shows the blue e on a sheet of paper, for every site you go to, unlike Firefox, which shows a different icon for different sites. I guess the new IE now has this same feature as well....
Certain websites have inserted Icons that show up in the address bar. If you visit any sites on Blogger.net it will show an icon, an orange and White B.
It just shows that your on a website on the internet and it depends on the websites you go to the picture will change... like for example if u go to a specific webpage like Yahoo if you saved it in your Favorites file it will become a Y!

Its the web sites icon.
For this site it is the green thing which gets called up from
A lot of sites use this line of code, simply changing the image location to their own icon. It isn't a new feature, just something that sites are using to strengthen their brand image.
Agree with the first answer. It can also depend on the browser.
For example you probably see a green icon for this web page.
If you went to Wired .com you would see their trademark red W
its called a favicon. i do not know if its knew to IE but firefox has been using them for a while. it is just a picture the site uploads and it displays it, all sites show a different one.
