I actually feel sorry for him. There is even a youtube video called crucifixion of barney. It's so sad.

I know "everyone" does not hate Barney....I know I don't. The "Barney" show always was very entertaining and educational for my children. They loved it. Even though they are past that age, they don't speak badly about him - in fact sometimes they have seen some of the kids that were on the show in movies and say, "Hey - they were on Barney." I think all parents should be grateful as young children are drawn to watch him and the children on the show; getting them excited about preschool. Enough said. There's a lot of crap on television nowadays that should be disliked more than a cheerful, helpful purple dinosaur.

Barney is just a big purple costume. It's the guy/gal inside that I feel sorry for!

I dont hate Barney. Well its not like I watch it but I dont hate it. I used to watch it when I was young. I liked it then. I also liked Banana's in Pajamas. Barney taught me things like skills and sometimes english.

I do not understand this either, my youngest son, now 18, used to love Barney!! Before that it was popular to hate Mr. Rogers!!! What is wrong with people that they have to find fault with childrens' programs that teach morals, friendship, respect, etc. Something must have gone wrong in THEIR childhood!!

I used to love barney as a kid did you know they actually took him off most of the public airing stations...... kinda sad..... oh well life rolls on .

Actually, Barney is for children. Teenagers shouldn't have an opinion on him anymore than a tricycle.
