I am 7 weeks tonight we are going out to club for a friends birthday. I havent told anyone that I am pregnant yet so I am playing the sober driver tonight. But there is one thing that I am finding conflicting information on. Will the loud music at the club harm my baby? I find some information that says yes and other say no. This will be my last time going out so the loud music is not on a regular basis. Also, no dr.'s is open today so I cannot call them. Thanks!

Yes you will be fine I am 13 weeks and I have gone to the club and I went to the bar before I knew that I was pregnant I didn't drink but it was still loud any way you will be fine nose starts to affect the baby around 13 weeks because that is when they start to hear and the noise travels well through the anmniautic fluid. you be fine go have a nice time and wish your friend a happy Bday

No, its fine. But your baby is sensitive to bright lights so you may want to avoid laying out in the sun a lot. The baby can even hear the music and may start kicking in about a month when you go to clubs. I went to an Eagles concert when I was five months pregnant with my boy and he wiggled around the whole time!

Congratulations firstly. The baby cant actually hear until a later stage in pregnancy. The doctors I have seen have said nothing about loud music or noises at all, I think it is more for your benefit if you are feeling unwell, morning sickness and all that. The baby in the later stage of pregnancy can just hear your voice but muffled.

When I was pregnant, less than a year ago I had a lot of the same concerns. I did a LOT of research on pregnancy and learned that at this age the fetus can'not hear sound. Even if your baby were much older, your belly acts like a sound barrier. Don't worry about it.

I wouldn't go to a club. You are still in the very fragile first trimester. Also, unless the club is smoke free you shouldn't be around the second hand smoke. Stay home and tell your friends you don't feel well if you don't want to tell them you are pregnant.

well its like this-when ur most active, the baby will learn to be active. so if your really active at night the baby will become active at night so take your pick.
