Last year at this time I was pregnant with my 3rd daughter with a due date of September 2nd. I was overdue, so the doctor enduced me on September 11th. I am not a fan of long labors, but I was hoping the whole time that she would be born after midnight. She was born at 11:45pm on September 11th.
I am wondering what others do with this birthday. Do you see it as life continuing after such a dismal day, or do you find it hard to celebrate on that date?

I agree it is a dismal day, not only for America, but for the world. Although 9/11 is a very sad day, celebrate your daughter's birthday as she is the symbol of life going on.

I think eventually, people will not associate birthdays with 9/11. Just like Pearl Harbor or any other significant date, it just takes time. Every generation has it's dates, eventually we move on.
Everytime I see the number 444, it reminds me of how many days the hostages were in Iran...

I have a sept 11 birthday. It sucked. On my birthday, during my party, no one socialized, and hardly anyone came. The focus was on the attacks. Now, I have decided to celebrate my birthday at least 2 days after my real birthday.

my grandmothers birthday is 9-11 we still celebrate it. to me 9-11 is just another day in history. the impact were huge but I barley remember it

it's not my b-day that day, but I quit smoking on 9/11/01.
