it will only play some like Resident evil Outbreak file #2 not scratched ok and it wont play my God Of War Game NOT SCRATCHED EITHER ok

Either your PS2's reading lens is damaged, or your CD's are defective.

It depends on what ps2 you have. Do you have the old one when they first came out? Or is it the newer one? Usually the newer ps2 won't play some games that have a blue color on the bottom of the disc. We had that problem before, Hope this helps!

You may have the older version of the ps2 which only sometimes plays the newer games

Well, when you put in the disc, and it loads, and the PS2 makes this weird noise, it might be the lense. Because I have some discs with blue bottoms, and it has trouble reading those, and its even had trouble with some of my other games with silver bottoms.

ur ps2 can be first generation of ps2 it depends how many time u press the restart button if that don't work check the region of the game.

my husbands does this too. he found out that it wont play certain games that are like dvd quality or something like that. look at the back of bothe games and it should say whether its a dvd disc or not.
