Life is entirely too short to be right all the time. I know it's a battle to let it go, but it is so worth it. My husband and I used to fight to be right, but we gave it up and are so much happier.

you don't give up the right to be right when you listen to other's ideas, you just improve on your own. Sometimes you can incorporate their ideas to make yours even better, and then everone wins. When you have to control to win, then you will lose in the long run cause most people need their time moment of glory sometimes, and if not given, then they will be out of there and then you would have no one to control. Back off and give respect, so others can respect you.
It is funny, the more you give that way, the more you get back, cause they think you are really smart to think that they are right.

If it's your boss, keep your mouth shut and let him be right. He's paying.
Anyone else, I'd say "choose your battles." Let the little stuff go, but if the issue really matters, explain kindly and firmly.
If someone is just in your face all the time, just brush it off if you can, with something like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah..." And try not to cross each other.

i know how u feel. my sisters dad is like that, and wheever hed start bragiing like that, i'd ignore it. my mom allways said that people brag now because they dont have anything, and bragging makes them feel good. so, whenever he started bragging about how he was there on 9/11, id just nodd my head. dont be mean. if you hurt his or her feelings what does he have? nothing? even if that person is a b, with all of there bragging jsut ignore it and itll pass. good luck. :)

hehehe..hmm i see what you're saying......don't let bother you at all...just smile and sit back...they will understand later that they're wrong when the mistake is done...you have tried and they did not hear your views on your side...i am sure if the mistake is made, they will blush and make you take control later...everyone wants to be in control and ahead of some one..so,let them be making the mistakes...just to reduce the conflict on who is right...

To me, I would tell then nicely but if they keep on insisting, I'll lose my temper and tell them off myself look at the bright side, it's not like your doing anything wrong.

My grandfather is extremely stubborn. He always turns out to be wrong.
UPDATE: People who are stubborn always lose. It's a genetic matter. YOU can't change it with developed people.
