I love both bands, but if i had to chose i am more familar with Fall Out Boy, so ill say Fall Out Boy.

First off the songs are a little deeper and I have met both bands. Fall Out Boy is a bit more down to earth. Peter is really really sweet and not to mention really hot. Patrick is just the best person you will ever meet. Joe is sooo funny. And Andy is just the nicest person. Gerard is really cool just not as really like people person as Fall Out Boy. But anyway it is about the music. I like FOB's music better too. Better sound. Blends better. And just really put together.

Neither. Their fame is the result of poor taste and teenage idolization. Their music is no different or better than the same alternative music that has been made in the last 18 years.
My advice: Look for more in the music world than what is all the rage. You never know what you'll find.

They are both 2 of my favorite bands. I would say MCR only because they sound more funky. Fall Out Boy Does right better lyrics they are hard to understand and are very meaningful. They write the best lyrics probably, ever. Thanks. &&; Good Question. :)

IMO galz will prefer Fall out boy cuz they appeal more to galz showing off and stuff whilst MCR are much deeper their songs hit the soul ya know u sit and wonder oh shyt that's exactly about me... so I think MCR are much better although far more depressing but such is life as they say!!!
