What's the appeal?

It is called comfort. A woman can hang out with a gay guy and feel completely comfortable. It is almost like having a girl friend but only because the interest in men is shared and it can be fun just chatting about guys and such. Many of my female freinds feel comfortable with me and know that I would never try to come onto them or anything like that because my intersts lie elsewhere. Still, if any of them dared to call me a pet, it would not be a pretty sight.

I have one because he's the best of both worlds. He's a guy with the sensitivities of another female. I can get both perspectives in one place...kinda like one-stop-shopping.
Many gay men have a wicked sense of humor...outlandish and that appeals to me. I've always had a gay friend at every incarnation of my life and I propably will til I die. I don't necessarily go out and seek a gay man as a friend, it usually just happens.
I've made long lasting friendships with my friends who just so happen to be male and gay.

Gay men are the best girlfriends a girl could possibly have! If I called my best friend (yes, he's gay) my pet, he probably woulda ***** slapped me, though..
(I wonder if Castle will be my pet gay...my other one moved)

Our friends talks about having meows, Cats, and CATS! I also would say the same about woofs, dogs and Dogs too in the gay community just because it is beautiful and we are caring and luving responsible bunch!

How is it any different than having a straight friend?
Oh I forgot...no cattiness...no stealing your man...loves to shop...loves to decorate...loves to dance...loves to tell & keep secrets...gives you an HONEST opinion when you ask if your dress makes your *ss look fat, and loves Cher. What's not to love?

Well, unlike cats, we don't scratch up the furniture or cough up fur balls. And unlike dogs, we don't pee on the floor (usually) and we won't always be licking your face.
