as much as people slag off windows, it is better for my perposes becuase as far as i am aware you can only get mac on a mac machine, if i could just get it as a generic OEM disk then i would go with mac, but becuase i build my own PC's infact even sold a couple mac is no good becuase i would have to buy one of those machines and as everything is non standard i would not be able to upgrade things (if i was a home user and non of the above mattered I'd be tempted to get a mac) but as it stands id rather have windows, plus it is what most people are used to.

Macs maybe better in security and other things like Itunes but the pcs can have Windows Vista which can also play Itunes or Ichat etc..
I would perfer pc because sometimes the macs get slow and Pcs are always faster. Pcs also include the original Microsoft Word and some programs on Windows CAN'T be used on Macs you gotta buy a specific program from a apple dealer so its very complicated... Here are some sites u can purchase macs or Pcs

Viruses for PC = 114,000
Viruses for MAC = 0
Macs just work so much better than PCs, i have never run into any problems so far, not even a glitch I should know because i have both a pc and a mac, so i'm not biased
..that mac security software wont ever find a single virus, its the same thing as buying a paper weight, you dont use the damn thing but you bought it anyway

It depends on what you need it for. If you are looking for a system to do design work, then go with a MAC. MAC's are also good because you don't have to worry about a lot of the security issues. The bad thing is there are no troubleshooting tools to work with and if you travel it may cause issues with connections. Windows are good for all other things but then you have the issue of security holes. Downloading alternate browsers, firewalls, anti-virus etc.. can be done. Windows have lots of troubleshooting tools.

I would say mac because I'm using one, but also because it loads much MUCH faster than my old Windows based system. I was told that Windows takes a long time to load because of being built on all the previous versions of windows, and on DOS.

It's a simple answer. Mac! Macintosh. I have been working with them for 5 years, and I'm only 13. Mac has the best gaurentee. Also being a student, it has helped me with my homework. It is very neat, long lasting and, anything is replaceable. To top it all off, it is the best priced computer.

Windows is much better because it enables you to do more, than Mac. I just bought a new laptop [in my opinion compusa has cheap laptops] from compusa. 17'' Hp only 800 dollars. it was on sale!

The new Apple machines will run Windows.... even have Intel CPUs. Software that runs on Windows is much lower pricewise.
