my friends have been debaiting but i sang, red yellow pink green orange purple and blue < in that order.. how did u sing it?

the song goes, red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue, you can sing a rainbow sing a rainbow sing a rainbow too

I cannot remember how I sang it at nursery but nowadays I sing it the same as you. Some people sing the words in a different order which doesn't really matter as long as you sing blue last cos that what rhymes with too.

We used to sing it as:

"Red and yellow and blue and green,
Purple and orange and pink,
I can sing a rainbow,
Sing a rainbow,
Sing a rainbow too!"

"red and orange and yellow and green, indigo violet and blue" I was taught this as that is the correct order of colours in a rainbow!

Richard of york gave Battle in vain which was red=Richard orange=of yellow=york green=gave blue=Battle indigo=in violet=vain does this help

At the school my grand children go to it's Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep mustn't say black in case we offend anyone in our country.
