Because our society is getting so used to seeing pictures of the answers and hearing the answers on television, on the internet and so forth that many do not even understand what they read, let alone actually read it. Society as a whole is becoming what i call brain lazy.

Since you have asked such a good question I will try to give you a good answer because I think you will read it and be able to understand it.

The reason for this I believe is because most people are no longer interested in anything that someone else has to say because they them selves have nothing to say. Much like no one reading or paying attention it would also seem no one is listening, when you are talking to someone you may often notice that they are not listening, they are waiting for you to stop talking so that they may say some mindless meaningless garbage that they heard someone else say. There are many reasons for such things and to many to list all of them here, especially considering most people probably wont read all that I have written so far.

There is so much written out there, it is easy to get lost. There are thousands of books, millions of articles online, a ton of information out there. Sometimes it feels like you're a blind person stumbling in the middle of a crowd. Also, because so much is written, there is a lot of mediocre or truly bad material. And unless you are really lucky, you're going to end up reading a good amount of it.

They never read the details accurately.

It's due to immediate gratification and having no patience. They want the immediate reward of answering a question and gaining points.

Because we are the TV/Video/Computer generation and we all suffer with a little A.D.D. We require instant imaging that reading does not offer.
