To be honest I am an avid Astros and White Sox fan(werd I know)....
But I always think the Reds will fare well in the year and they do, especially with powerhouse hitting like Dunn on the team, but it will all depend if the pitching will not fall through again like last year. I thought they would be wildcard contenders and they just dropped out of the race, I was disappointed...so Good luck!

Dude, Mark Bellhorn Sucks!! He strikes out alot and is barely a descent fielder, He might hit 10 to 15 Hr depending on his playing time. but as far as the Reds season goes, there going to be descent but will not turn heads. Look for the Cubs and the Cardinals to do very well in there division.

Got Ya!, did you forget about Houston? As things are right now, I can see a 5th place finish out of the Reds.
Sandman, if Pittsburgh's youth develops (like Willie Mays Hays and Rick Vaughn did in "Major League"), and their veterans play back to form (like Jake Taylor and Eddie Harris, same movie reference), your Reds are looking up at the entire division.

The Reds have too many holes- Arroyo was unstoppable last year, but the rest of the rotation is questionable. I can't tell you who the closer is going to be, and the lineup, although powerful, slacks off when they play on the road and the $64,000 question is how healthy will number 3 be(Griffey)

if Arroyo and Harang pitch like last year, and they find someone to pitch in relief, they have a shot. Bellhorn should do well if he gets a chance-he usually either walks, strikes out, or hits a homer, so you shouldn't expect him to get too many singles. I think they have a shot at the Central- the Cards got worse, and the Cubs pitching still looks suspect behind Zambrano, so good luck!

They would be if their bullpen would be average in AAA. As it stands, they're going to lose a whole lot of winnable games late.

Hopefully the reds can get a good season out of their bullpen and when they do they will be in the playoffs. Their lineup is dangerous...
