Definitely not. Over the course of 10 years the Beatles revolutionized music by using unheard of studio techniques ( the echo effect on "Yesterday") album recording (no silence between tracks on Sgt Pepper album) and the use of musical instruments (George Harrison using the sitar on mainstream songs)...the point is they expanded what music was during their time way more than any other band. With every album, they truly stretched the limits...and even though it is cliche: they paved the way...

Of course not. You can't possibly have such a huge fan base that stretches across several generation and be overrated. They are simply as good as it gets. You just have to let Strawberry Fields play a couple times and you'll know it's true.

no way!! i have a 3 year old and i sure hope she ends up liking some of the stuff i was exposed to by my parents and now love myself. the world would be a very sad place if the beatles were forgotten. I mean, that happy pop stuff is ok in the car or the dance club, but if you really listen to it, it's stupid as hell. "fergilicious" yeah it sure took a lot of brains to write that one. and dont get me started on gwen....

No way....Think about it....if there were no beatles...music wouldn't be like it was today & we'd all be dancing the waltz.
My 6 yr old even knows who the beatles are....he wakes me up on saturday...singing 'here comes the sun!' LOL

No, they were pioneers in music and record production, although George Martin deserves more recognition.
