bcoz the Back people have been discriminated against over a long history, and maybe this is the hope that their childen will have better treatments and success...

What shades do you consider "light skinned?" If you could clarify that, the question might make better sense.
But usually, it's because the lighter the skin (if you're not white,) the easier things will be. You're less likely to be pulled over while driving, less likely to be followed in stores, and so forth.

Because people are stuck in this ideal that the whiter your are the better chances you will have in life (success, family etc...) which is stupid to me. It don't matter what color you are just do good in the world and good will come back to you. Simply as that
