Yes, he's going to help the Red Sox out alot this year, just because he's going to attract media and take the pressure off others on the team. As, far as stats going I'm predicting him to pitch about a 2.75 era and have a record of 14-8.

I don't think its a matter of whether he'll be a factor or not because no matter what hes going to be a factor on the club with the money that was spent on him. The question is, How effective will he be? I expect him to be about 19-11 and a 3.25 ish ERA. Not too great but not bad also.

I wont deny that he has pretty nice stuff but for me the jury is still out. He is coming from a league where he played lesser talent, less days between starts, and shorter season. I can't see him in the Cy young conversation or even rookie of the year talk either. In fantasy I stay clear of him and ridicule peeps for taking him in the single digit rounds. Prove it dk, and props will follow.

yes.he has to be.the redsox didnt give him all of that money for nothing.he has to prove that all of this hype going on over him is worth it.he also needs to be a factor because the redsox need another big hand in their starting rotation.if he can win at least 16 games this year it will be a big hit for the redsox.

he will do pretty good.. im gonna say 13 wins with tons of k's. but i have a feeling hitters are gonna figure him out pretty quick so i dont think his ERA will continue to be microscopic. kinda like how dontrelle willis was. no one would hit off him cuz of his odd throwing motion. but now that they have figured him out, they are lightin' him up!! dice-k will be aight
