Oh, by the way, it does change throughout your life. Last time I took this test was a year ago, and I got 119. Some questions that I used to find hard are now easy. In conclusion, I believe that age does matter. You wouldn't give this test to a second grader, would you?

Oh, I know that I clicked a couple of things wrong by accident, so I went back to fix my test answers. Guess what my IQ is now? 131! That puts me in Very Superior Intelligence, right?

Your score is great, congratulations! From your remarks, I'd guess you took one of Tickle's IQ tests. Your result puts you in the Superior Intelligence category (IQ 120-130). Another way to look at your score is to examine it's percentile rank, which denotes what percentage of people taking the test scored lower than you. A score of 129 is approximately in the 97th percentile, meaning that you scored higher than about 97% of your peers! Here's a general reference chart to help you interpret IQ scores:
140+ Extraordinary intelligence
130-140 Very superior intelligence
120-130 Superior intelligence
110-120 High average intelligence
90-110 Average intelligence
80-90 Below average intelligence
70-80 Borderline deficiency
Below 70 Intellectually challenged
And yes, one's IQ score really does change throughout one's life. This is especially true as one progresses from childhood to adulthood. That's because your brain matures and acquires more sophisticated patterns of thinking.

IQ levels remain the same throughout your life within a standard deviation of a few points. This ofcourse can change if some serious injury or illness affects the brain.
Another thought you need to take into consideration is which IQ test is the child being given? There are a few different types of IQ tests. Usually for most IQ tests a baseline average is about 100.

Yes it's a good score, but your age is taken into consideration when calculating the result. Most people's IQs actually decrease with age, so make the most of it.
Also, as others have said, it's never really an accurate reading of intelligence, and most people don't place too much value on them.
Let me guess. You took a tickle test, and they called you a visionary philosopher.

Mine is 157 and I am 14 years old and I have an excellent IQ so that would put you at around above average IQ as far as scores go. but as for your age it really does not matter how old or young you are it has little impact in determining the outcome of your score, IQ really just stands for mental capcity or how much information your brain can store, this score will most likely stay with you for the rest of your life, barring that you do not have a serious head injury.

That is a really decent score. Good job. And yes, i agree with you that scores do change as you grow older, especially when you are in school. Each year, you face new academic challenges and is require to use your mind more. However, during adult years, people just dont read as much anymore, so their IQ decrease. So if you really want to raise that score up, read books!

Yes, but what that means is the youngster can process information well. Still needs education and good books and other sources of information to process. Shouldn't become complacent.
