The book is non-fiction. I only know that it has something to do with positive vs negative thinking.

I appreciate what everyone else has written here - BUT it's NOT about positive thinking at all.

YOU will learn what the meaning of life is. What your purpose is in this world and WHY you exist. Go explore it. In 3 months SO many miracles have happened it's kinda silly.

Life is meant to be FUN and BEAUTIFUL and full of joy. Go learn how.

Yes I think its worth buying. If you're looking for ways to empower yourself and manifest your dreams, both small and large, then this book will help you. It is a collection of various sources of information pertaining to metaphysics and quantum physics. All of which have to do with energy both scientific and spiritual. Everything is energetic, even our thoughts and your thoughts affect your perceptions, your perceptions affect your attitude, your attitude affects your relationships and experiences, and lastly your relationships and experiences in turn will affect your thoughts. Clearly this is a cycle and often people get caught in it, thinking it is a permanent reality. The Secret as well as Ask and it is Given, a book by Esther and Jerry Hicks, will help you understand this process and how to mold your life the way you want it... in other words, to achieve true happiness. There are many other books to look into, one called A Course in Miracles is particularly wonderful. Download some Abraham Hicks onto a CD and it'll blow your mind if you're unfamiliar with this type of thinking.
I wish you the best on your quest to improve your life. YES, buy The Secret!

Ah the power of positive thinking. That concept has been around for a very long time. This book is an interesting read. You will get out of if as much as you allow yourself. It isn't a magic potion to cure all woes but it does have some scientific value to its age old concept. If you read it prepared to accept what you feel is right and without reluctance throw out the stuff you can't use, and not accept it all as "gospel" I think you would find it interesting.

I haven't read the book but I saw the movie in my faith class just a few weeks ago.
If you're interested I would borrow it from the library but I wouldn't spend money on it. "The Secret" says that if you say positive things and always keep a positive attitude and "tell the universe what you want," your wishes/wants will come true. It calls the universe a catalogue that never runs out. Again, I haven't read the book, but the movie was somewhat interesting but I wouldn't spend my money on the concept.
