like that? Before the divide became seemingly uncrossable?

Humor me here, I am trying not to be so inflammatory.

the simple fact is... both sides are promoting extremist propaganda... "the other side is evil and trying to destroy America"

and PEOPLE BELIEVE IT... and I guess because America is becoming more divided, many apparently don't know anyone from the other party... and apparently they don't have the common sense to realize... we're all people... and we ALL want what's best for America...

it's like they think that by dividing us so sharply, that it will help them...

BUT... I'll go on record right now... the party that brings everyone together the best WILL win the 08 election...

and frankly, I think it will be the Dems... because Republicans simply don't care what anyone else thinks AT ALL... they aren't evil... they are good people... but they are so stubborn right now... pride will be their downfall...

In a way, yeah; though, the way the Democrats (leftists, really) act, the most pathetic Republican looks like fabulous in comparison.

Just look what they (Dems) did to the troops: They filled a funding bill that was meant to support the troops with so much pork that it would have been irresponsible to allow it.
Note, again, that this is supposed to be a bill that supports the troops:

I know pork is thrown in from both sides, but this is just ludicrous. -___-; Just watch the Dems/media condemn the President/Republicans of not passing it. Mark my words.

Jason----Oh yes----how I wish we could have been born in a more simple time----the future is quite uncertain and all politicians scare me to some extent-----think about it--how many of them are lawyers (lowest form of life)-------I try to stay positive and upbeat---sometimes after a constant barrage of twisted and perverse postings here on yahoo answers I sit back and wonder if it is possible for there to be so many ignorant and evil people our here who act like they feel humans are the biggest threat to humanity.------OH please let there be a handful of leaders rise up who we can actually respect and believe.--we are waiting.

Jason, is there any going back, in reality? Do you really think we can do it? I have serious reservations. Look at the level of ability to communicate in writing on this site and tell me you have any confidence in the youth of this country.

No, I like the path that we are on with the republican party headed towards extinction.
