Well, it's up to you.
About 90% or more of the world uses a pc and about 10% or less uses a Mac. Pc is a little easier to use in my opinion. Macs have less viruses than pcs because there are so little Mac users and some people don't want to waste their time. Not that there aren't any viruses for Mac. Also, Macs have an open-source virus Blocker. Open source means that it can be used or edited by the public. Good luck! :)

Well, you don't have to worry about viruses, they very rarely crash, upgrades are smoother, and they cost a bunch more. Art programs are nice, and a lot of windows stuff is not compatible. The coolest people on TV have them (remember the iMac explosion?) and I personally love them. Gamers tend toward PCs, not Macs, so the available games are hard to find, but they're there. I've always owned a Mac, but use Windows at work. I like both, but the Macs seem much stabler since OSX came out.

It depends on the person. I like PC's because I think they run smoothely. Some people like mac because mac's are user friendly. Even though macs don't get viruses and other nonsence as much, you can't get that many games on mac. So overall I think PC is better.

Yes and No

Mac are less common, therefore there are less viruses (almost non) and are simple to use.

More people use windows so there are more things for them and more viruses.

It's kind of like saying which is better X-box or Playstation. They both play games, but the interface and games for them are different. Same way with Macs and pcs

Why not have bothOperating systems on one computer?

You can run windows XP flawlessly on a mac -- check out http://www.parallels.com/

Of course you have to do that on a mac, because you can run windows on a mac but you can't run OSX on a PC. (Well, actually you can do that, but who would want to?).

Unless you're a hard core gamer, or on a really tight budget, I'd recommend a mac. But if you want cheap, go with a PC
