"Have a scion and got the trd and it great" - idiot
Anyway..I prefer the tC's stock 17's over the optional 18 inchers. I would get it lowered, and save up for better rims. Good luck!

I know how it goes man...I really appreciate my parents getting me a tC, but I had to be really selective with my options! I wouldn't get the lower springs even though they're great quality (dude, TRD enough said) because I hate rubbing the bottom of my car on bumps and in parking spaces. The 18" are pretty sweet looking, but I heard the wheels and tires that come on that package are even less gripy than the 17" with the yokohama tires ('07 tC). Spend the money on the sway bar and the cold air intake instead of the springs. The sway bar really does eliminate alot the body roll (not that there's alot to begin with). Hope you enjoy your new tC. Check out scionlife.com and get to the know the broad Scion community!

Anything TRD, except for the springs and shocks are overrated and overpriced. Not to mention the dealer prices, OMG! There are other aftermarket companies with better quality products and cheaper. I would say go with the TRD springs and buy aftermarket wheels. Quality is what you want and anything by Rays, Volk, PIAA is the way to go in wheels.
Check out this site, it's where all Scion owners go to get info on installs and reviews. There's a thread on there about first upgradges too. I'm on there, check out my ride! my screenname:

Go online buy springs from Ebay and get them installed - you can get the TRD's from ebay and the dealer will SCREW you. 18's are cool but if you drop to low you might rub. I've dropped mine about 2 1/2 inches and rub a little bit when turning but not bad.

i would add the trd springs. if you get the bigger rims, it will change your odometer readings, change your mileage, use more/less gas, make ride more bumpy, all those little things just for rims...get the springs less drawbacks. Not saying rims are a bad idea, just that you have to filter all of that into it also.
