An LP album is a 33 1/3 record (the biggest record there is). There are two sides to the record, and each side plays a number of songs on the record. The first side starts at the beginning of the album and then ends at a certain song, then you flip it over to the other side and it continues the album in order until it's done.
78's might be LP album's to. There the fastest turning records, they go 78 revolutions per minute (rpm). That's also what 33 1/3 and 45 stand for for records. That's the number of revolutions per minute that the record turns on your record player.
There you go. I'm glad I could help. :)

young one, an lp is a 12'' vinyl record that plays much longer than a 45 record, hence the term lp(long playing).

it what us oldies but goodies used to listen to on a record player before there were Cd's. they came in 3 sizes 33, 45, and 78. there were made out of black vinyl. you played them either on a stereo that had a record player on it or some people had portable record players.
