A cat.. dog is close second though.
Cats are natural acrobats, inquizative, sensative, loving, like to play, make happy paws and purrrr to let you know they are happy, smile when content, housebreak easily, love to cuddle close to you, will do a milk dance at the refridgerator, are happy to sit in on the window sill and become a part of your decor, can be left alone all day and only eat the gold fish that come too close to the surface of the water, will wake you up five minutes before your alarm clock, so neither of you has to h ear that awful racket, keep mice away from your pantry, and will play with a cat fishing pole for any little visitor that company might have with them. They are basically little lions and this is your chance to look into those beautiful eyes without loosing a hand. Who could say no to those little tiny fuzzy faces when you have kittens.. sigh..

i cant believe that NO ONE has said fish!!!
fish are TOTALLY AWESOME!!
ppl think that they are boring, but they are actually fascinating!
they each have their own unique personality. i have 3 platys at the moment and THEY ROCK!
they come up to the tank if i get close coz they think i will feed them its so cute!
they also come and nibble my finger if i put it in the tank
i also had a siamese fighter once. these are one of the lowest maintanence pet ever! they can literally live in a glass of water (but thats kinda slack) i would jump out of the water if you held food there and he loved being stroked!
fish dont need to be taken for walks or groomed or vacinated. all the want is a nice clean aquarium, swimming space, stuff to hide in and FOOD
they are great pets! i love them! and you dont need much space. a bare wall will do fine for an aquarium!
p.s. dogs are cool aswell but expensive!

A dog! they are truly great companions. My pup is a jack Russell and contra to popular beliefs he's not a nipper or a yappy dog he's lovable and such a sweet dog to have. He's a great guard dog and very good with kids. buts that not saying that all jacks or dogs are. He loves playing and we go for long walks together.
Ahhh snoopdog he's adorable!!!!!!

if it had 2 b a house pet then a dog, most likely a medium sized dog like a golden retriever. If it could be a wild animal then i would say a fox.

Dogs are the coolest the so fun and loving and they make great companions!! i'd own em all if i could but obviously i cant!!!!

I like Atlantic Puffins. A fun (but expensive) pet is a Fennec Fox. Anemone fish are cool too (clown fish, etc.) Most popular is probably dog or freshwater fish.

I love my turtles! Unbelievable personality! Duncan and Tessa, red ear sliders, will always be my favorite!
