I am a Christian, and I don't know the answer to that, either. Supposedly, it has something to do with the fact that since Jesus has come, we are in a new dispensation.
One wife is about all I, personally, can handle--and afford--right now, anyway.

Maybe herpes wasn't as prevalent as it is now. You should go back the to the religion catagory cause you're not gonna get the answers you expect here in P/S. Then again I could be wrong.

You're in the wrong category. Go to Religion & Spirituality where they'll yell at you for questions like this.

i discover it confusing to appreciate the politics/dynamics of a polygamous marriage, on condition that I even have continually had an entire time activity retaining one lady chum/spouse happy without the added stress of distinctive girlfriends/different halves. sounds like relaxing to objective for a weekend although...

I thought they were in favor of it. If you get your mistress pregnant, you should marry her, not allow her to get an abortion. This is not an acceptable excuse for divorcing your wife, so a righteous man would have 2 wives. The minister won't tell you this, because his wife would get mad and not sleep with him if he did.

That's all in the OLD Testament.
Christians tend to follow the New Testament which tells the story of Jesus and his disciples, some of whom didn't even have ONE wife!
