Many people say no.. but then some say yes. When people born blind were questioned about what they "see" in dreams in several studies, their answers indicate that the experience of vision first is needed before it can be translated into a dream. Those blind for a lifetime instead experience other keenly developed senses in their dreams--i.e., the sensation of moving around, the emotion of joy, etc.

The answer is yes, though generally those blind from birth do not have visual images, but rather the images are substituted by speaking, listening, feel, smelling, tasting, etc.

My Blind friends have taught me much on the subject. You can read about the process and hear from folks that are Blind from different ages: http://www.infociegos.com/english/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=29

dreaming is done in your mind and how you perceive things to look like, not what you see.
